She

'Don't you find it weird the way two people can sit next to each other without saying anything?'
I haven't really thought about it. I murmur.
.What's your name?? she asks me.
Shankar. I answer, as I turn round to face her..
sankaaa she pronounces..sorry one more time,' she says....
I say shankarrr,,,,, shaaaankaaaaar. ',well she is nearer in getting it right... Very bad start for the conversation....
She's still smiling. For the first time I thought and realized that she and specially her eyes, where quite dashing and pretty. An exotic, strangely familier face, with deep brown eyes, and topped with long dark hair. Probably could've been a hit model in my country. Well, as best i can tell.. She is sitting down.
What's your name?' I ask
'I'm-----------' she starts to reply before being drowned out...
Another train is moving towards another direction making the atmosphere inside our train dark..
I'm sorry, I didn't quite catched what you said...
.I' m..................
Damn,,,,, I missed it again.. Now that was not important for meee..
Please to meet you.' I say smiling politely.
She laughs. I have no idea why..
Where are you from???I ask not really interested..
Doesn't matter,'she replies and continues..' What sort of music do you like?...
Excuse me???... I had difficulty in catching up her accent...
Music.. You know----- songs, with guitars, drums, sometimes piano.... If you are really lucky than french bass and indian bhangraaa... You must have heard of it'.....
She was not as funny as thinks she is by saying these words..
You can tell a lot about someone from the music that they like.. More than from where they live.' she explains.. Yo see. a person chooses what music they listen to.. Their place of birth is out of their hands.'
'OK' I get it. I reply.. Another lecturee I thought. Received lectures from parents in Nepal early morning.. another one from manager in workplaceee ..Now i thought why doesn't she shut up??/
So' she asks??
So what???
'What sort of music do you like??? she asks,,,laughing..
I bet she is one of those girls with crazy teen appeal who try to make conversation in every placess.. They put happier and confident face in front but might be depressed ,,, deep thinker or very soft hearted behind.
' I like a lot of older music', I reply. ' I like Beatles ,, Bryan Adamss...few from metallica... But I love every songs from my country and lot of indian music...
.She won't have heard of them.. I swear, if she says that she has never listened or known about beatles... I am moving seats.
I am impressed,' she says..
What, you like them too?? I ask...
Of course'' she replies.. In fact i've got tickets of a bar to watch young boys singing beatles..this weekend.
Now it's my turn to be interested.. but frankly i never like to watch young boyss singing beatles .It's the job of old folksss. I actually like to listen beatles on mp3 but attend the concerts of the contemporary trendsetter ones..Trendsetters in Britain..' Rage against machines' is also the one i like..Jls are too much popular too talk about.
Letss see... I say..
you don't say,' she grinss..
I can't help but smile back..
What's your favourite film then?? I ask her..
Good question,' she says. A very important test of a person..
'so?? I prompt.
'It would have to be Shawshank', she repliess..
An excelelnt choice,' I remark ... One of my favourites too..
.Frankly i watched that films four times and even remember some of the dailougess...the way a man frees himself for the wrong prison sentence...... Hope was the great message of that film...Shawshank redemption made on 94 despite being flop on halls went to win many awards...
What's your numberr one?? she asks...
Well,,,, I begin... I'm a big fan of all trendsetterr english moviee... The last Samurai ,,, The perfect man are the one's i remember...
'so, what's your all time favourite then... I'd say...... almost all of the supernatural one's like superman.... ( i was gutted on saying childish things.....Thank god i didn't said harry porter).
It's not a nice feeling on having a complete stranger laughing at you...But i find that a slight smile is strecthing my face...
She says'; sorry which country you said??...You must be from India...she yells..
You said that birthplace doesn't really matter.and i am not from India...
But now it matters...
... Why...??.
To check you. so that u don't remain strange .....She was alarmingly focused on the conversation..
. I proudly said i was from Nepal.....
She says.,'.You know Joanna Lumley.,'
Ya she campaigned for Gurkhas In Britain...
. I got first foreigner in london who knows few things about Nepal. I didn't forget to tell her that Gautam Buddha ,founder of Buddism was also born in Nepal...... She wasn't clear about that but she knew about everest......
She followed newspapers everday... That made me happy.......
.But i didn't wanted her to tell everything about my country....coz i know people these days put up artificial ...really???? type of surprising faces without giving much attention to the details.................
....Conversation continued.......She asked many things about nepal and the genre of music they follow....I talked about indian music...By the time 4 stations has already passed...
.. She was quite excited about... the nepali song... on my list...Co-incidentally it was 'jaso gar j bhana'(patriotic song by famous pop band of Nepal) by 1974.A.D....She listened it...Puts up i don't know face and sayss i loved it..
.. She says she likes to listen indian songsss coz of her influence with friends from indian roots..
.She critisized her south asian friends for stubbornly following everything from their parents country... She says they don't want to assimilate but want others to listen to their stuffss...They say their religion and food is the best in the world....How funny..she critisizes their behaviour but still listens to their songs... she was honest in her conversation....
Her family enjoyed watcihing slumdog millionaire..(a movie that won many oscar awards .based on indian issues)..though her dad never loved the indian stuffs....Their vacation to kerala india few years ago were ruined ..... i don't want to know whyy...It had nothing to do with my country... She wants my phone no....saved... She wants me in facebook.... I say i don't use facebook i use twitter instead....
I learnt her parents were from ireland but she was born in london..... .She says she loves the festivalss from ireland but doesn't like the way they speak english...Well fair...to judge
I was already loaded with lots of informations from herr...

Our conversation was interrupted by driverr,,,
The train is arriving at the next station...
This is my stop,' she sayss...
I guess this is the farewell then ...
Yes it is ... she says as she shakes my hand ...ruffles my hair...I thought mayb it was their culture..She moves round and goes towards opening door. And just like she leavesss walking out of good conversation...This wasn't an endd.
I watched her body perfectly for the first time..If she was Nepali i would have guessed her 22 or 23.. Here i can't guess...coz i have seen maddonna in concerts with two peices...nobody says she is already 50 and i hav seen 15 year old girls with babies on streets.. they already look like 25...
I remembered...().....at the same time..She must have enjoyed her life with her ambition in Nepal or had put her future in disarray by goin to a foreign country.. May b she has the handsome guy who appreciates her skills more than me....I don't have regrets..It was I who decided to walk out..Wasn't prepared to be so matured already...M enjoying my free life...
I was happy of making this long journey to my 2nd work today... ... I can perform better......>>>>>
By the evening i got two messagesss from her. i saved her number as g1 now i knew her name......secretss...the date for going to watch old beatles performance by young guys in Queens way..asks me where to pick me up.. ...... I haven't replied .. she is just 21 minimum age barrier for drinking ... can put me in trouble......i don't care.... i need to go for my work that day..... ... the conversation continues...
